The all new Volvo V40 compact hatchback is a 5 door compact wagon whose design elements are quite inspired from stylish Volvo S60. The car is a perfect machine with proper safety measures including world’s first Pedestrian Airbag technology. What is quite noticeable is its hexagon shaped grille on the front, swept back headlights, graceful rear portion and raised belt line.

Volvo V40 compact car features futuristic glass made hatch which gives it a different look and looks perfectly in tune with upmarket trend.  What exclusively differentiates it from the rest of the cars in the market is its quality of being the first of its kind Pedestrian Airbag technology that helps lifting the hood when inflating, relaxing up the hood and softening parts of A-pillars and windscreen area.

The compact Hatchback Volvo V40 is also integrated with ingenious park assist pilot and Lane Keeping Aid with haptic auto steering which provides ease of parking in parallel lanes.  There’s a City Safety Low-speed collision avoidance system that operates at speed up to 50 km/h.

Interiorly, the car is given elegant touch by combining decent tones for upholstery and trim. There are three differentvariants available for Trim colors and three different categories of fabrics from which you can select different tones to match with the other interiors.

The Volvo V40 India Hatchback comes with both petrol and diesel engine that claims Co2 emissions of 94g/km in the latter variant and both the engines are coupled with 6 speed transmission systems.  The petrol car is bestowed with 4 cylinder 16 valves Direct Injection Turbo engine which can churn out the peak power of 150BHP/180BHP @ 5700RPM.

The diesel engines are 4-cylinder and 5 cylinder turbo-diesel engine which can give displacement of 1596cc and 1984cc respectively. The diesel engines can give the maximum power of 115HP @3600 RPM and 150HP @ 3500RPM.
